liberdade

:) hello dear friend

i am not sure if we are should to make such definite sentences.. we have to be careful when we think we know what's best for everybody. but yes, i do agree that many problems would vanish if people only realized they have the power of action, of change.. i wish everybody could be free. FREE. people should come up with their own rules, with their own morals, with their own goals, desires... it seems to me many of us follow without ever questioning why..

so on that note i wanted to share a beautiful song and amazing lyrics.. (maybe i have shown you this before, anyway if you click on the title you should get to the youtube video)

Maybe not

There's a dream that I see, I pray it can be
Look cross the land, shake this land
A wish or a command
Dream that I see, don't kill it, it's free
You're just a man, you get what you can

We all do what we can
So we can do just one more thing
We can all be free
Maybe not in words
Maybe not with a look
But with your mind

Listen to me, don't walk that street
There's always an end to it
Come and be free, you know who I am
We're just living people

We won't have a thing
So we got nothing to lose
We can all be free
Maybe not with words
Maybe not with a look
But with your mind

You've got to choose a wish or command
At the turn of the tide, is withering thee
Remember one thing, the dream you can see
Pray to be, shake this land

We all do what we can
So we can do just one more thing
We won't have a thing
So we've got nothing to lose
We can all be free
Maybe not with words
Maybe not with a look
But with your mind

But with your mind

Normal Thursday morning

Hello my dear friend!
Yes! yes! it´s here! And I want to start writing immediatly!

Last Thursday was a very nice one for me here in Brasil.
I woke up at 8.30 and went to my Capoeira class with a friend.
Walking to the Cultural Centre was an experiance on it´s own. The Centre is situated in a less touristic part of Itacare and that emediatlly means it´s a poorer part of the town.
I love walking in that neigbourhood because it is so different and beautiful in its own way.
At 9 in the morning the Brasilian music is already pooring out of all the open windows and doors.
People are just hanging around, talking, in front of their house or that of their neigbours.
Children are playing in the middle of the street and al the freshly washed loundry is lying down on everything imaginable. I even saw loundry spread out on the street one day!

The Capoeira class was long and hard but very very nice. I like the way my body works it´s way trough the movements. And I like to feel my muscles work.

After the class my friend, Soledad, and I decided to go take a plunsh to cool down a bit...

So here we were: two friends talking about life in this cristal clear turqoise brasilian seawater on a coconut beach on a normal Thursday morning. We came up with the fallowing sentance that morning:

When humankind realises that the key to their happyness lays in their own hand, everybody would be where they want to be.

Life is beautiful, but you already knew that...
